Happy New Year!

Finally the countdown to the end of 2007 is over and 2008 starts.  Only 6 more months until I am done with high school and considered in the “Real World.”  I know that is true with many DECA members.  With the end of high school and the start of college, that gets people thinking about “How am I going to afford this?”  The answer is scholarships.   DECA offers a wide variety of different scholarships.  Some being from Finish Line, Otis Spunkmeyer, and even Sears.  What’s the harm in filling one out and seeing what happens? Nothing at all. I hope everyone takes advantage of the available resources you have in front of you.

I had a great time meeting everyone at the District 7 conference back in December.  It was really cool meeting you and hanging out a little bit.  I’ll be looking forward to attending more as the month goes on.  I am also really looking forward to seeing everyone at Rochester Adams high school for the District 6 Conference.  It will be really cool to see everyone from my chapter Lake Orion compete.  It’s going to be a new [X] perience for me, looking on the outside-in.   Good Luck to everyone, I know you are going to do a great job.

If you have ANY questions at all about anything. Please e-mail me.  khagan@mideca.org I would really like to talk to everyone and try to help them out.
